.Let's explore the different climates changes each season brings.
Spring!
- Spring normally brings about a lot of wind, mostly warm air. Trees and plants open new leaf and flower buds as the weather warms in spring. This allows pollen to be transferred to the buds to bring about new plants and flowers. It is also a very rainy season. In March, April and May, the temperature can be quite pleasant.
Summer!
- Hot, hot, hot! In the Summer, there is little to no wind. It is mostly sunny unless rain is expected. Most days the heat index feels much warmer than what the actual temperature is. Depending on the heat index, the day can feel pleasant or scorching! Some places feel like this year round. For example Texas and Arizona remain consistently hot year round.
Winter!
- Winter is a hard time for animals and plants. Many animals have a hard time finding food during winter so they will eat a lot and sleep during the whole winter. This is known as hibernation. Plants will often lose their leaves and wither and die and will grow again in spring. Some places get much colder than others. For example, Minnesota and North Dakota get very cold in Winter.
Fall!
- During Fall or Autumn, the weather is quite pleasant. The temperature begins to cool down and it gets a little windy. The leaves on the trees change color and fall off.
